People inspire me, and that is why I photograph them. I think the relationship between the photographer and subject is an important one, which translates into the end result of a photograph. To capture a real moment or the personality of my subject, I believe it is vital to foster a connection and create a comfortable environment with my clients during the creative process.

I enjoy finding new ways to intertwine my sense of style with the client's vision. It is important for me to deliver unique and meaningful portraits and building long-term relationships with my clients. I enjoy watching individuals evolve and families grow through the lens of my camera.

My work as a professional photographer began in 2006 after studying photography at Columbia College Chicago. I have been photographing for magazines, commercial studios, organizations and corporations ever since. My fine art work has been recognized by the International Photography Awards and the Black and White Spider Awards. You can view my fine art and editorial work at www.shinphotography.com

In addition to photography, I am a total foodie, love traveling the world and exploring new cultures and strongly believe in giving back to the community by volunteering my time with non-profit organizations .
