Every year throughout October, everyone is invited to meet hundreds of Chicago visual artists at exhibitions, workshops, open studios, tours, and neighborhood art walks at venues throughout the city. Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in collaboration with more than 200 program partners, Chicago Artists Month aims to showcase the extraordinary talent and vibrancy of Chicago’s art community.
I am extremely excited to be part of a group show at Dreambox Gallery, along with photography by Iwona Biedermann, paintings by Jan Brud and Jerzy Kenar, sculpture and mixed media by Jolanta Pawlak, wooden mosaic by Tom Robinson, and the compelling rhythms of Aleksander Najda’s poetry. For the first time, I will be showing portraits of women that I met and photographed while living in Singapore from 2006-2008. This series showcases the diversity of the international community on this tiny island on the other side of the world. I will be showing 3 pieces from this series for this group exhibition.
The opening reception is open to the public. Hope to see you there!
