As one of my favourite collections from Berlin Fashion Week, PALMWINE IceCREAM has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection, “LIFE MOODBOARD.” This collection takes us on a profound exploration of time, growth, and transformation. Building on the heartfelt tribute to founder Kusi Kubi’s mother seen in the previous line, “LIFE MOODBOARD” dives deeper, tracing Kubi’s evolution from an aspiring fashion intern to an established designer.

Photographer SHIN JEONG HOON captured the essence of this powerful reveal through an exclusive backstage look, providing a glimpse into the artistic magic that happens beyond the runway.

Palpably present in every piece, this collection poetically narrates the designer’s journey. As the first African-based brand to grace the Berlin runway and one of the celebrated winners of “Berlin Contemporary,” PALMWINE IceCREAM presents a tapestry of emotions and experiences that reflect the many stages shaping Kubi’s life and artistry. It’s a celebration of pivotal moments, personal milestones, and creative expression—a true moodboard of life itself.

The brand refines its silhouettes, offering an elevated yet polished aesthetic where innovation seamlessly converges with style. The collection features a striking palette of rich browns, deep burgundy reds, earthy greens, and bold blacks. Silhouettes achieve a masterful balance between structure and fluidity, symbolizing growth and evolution through life’s diverse phases. 

Emphasizing sustainability without compromising on creativity, the collection incorporates upcycled leather, wood, raffia, calabash, and dead-stock materials. PALMWINE IceCREAM (PWIC) remains devoted to minimizing environmental impact while embracing a diverse and inclusive approach to gender expression. Kubi expresses, “At PWIC, our aim is not to saturate the market, but to craft meaningful clothing for individuals who resonate with our values: Reconstruct, Re-use, and Reduce.”

With “LIFE MOODBOARD,” PALMWINE IceCREAM not only showcases fashion but also tells a story—one that echoes the heartbeat of life itself.
